I received a degree from University of Nebraska in Human Development and Elementary Education (back when they were national football champions.) Learning is my lifelong passion; I have taken over 75+ hours of post graduate classes since my college days in Nebraska. I present teacher seminars to UNC pre-student teachers, hoping to prepare them to meet the needs of GT students with rigor and creative endeavors.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy hiking, biking, reading, and writing. I have written a "Food for Thought" column for the Windsor Beacon for over 26 years which allows me to explore flavors and healthy combinations of foods with local flare.
